Our January-like pattern continues through the weekend as our next system is currently impacting central IL with light snow, where 2-5" totals are expected by late tonight. But our next system will move in right behind it on Saturday, with another 3-6" or so possible across the same areas of central IL that are seeing snow right now. Behind that, a strong blast of subzero temperatures looks likely, with below zero readings Saturday night through midday Sunday, with wind chills dangerously low, as low as -25 on Sunday morning! But, a large-scale pattern change is shaping up for later next week, when temperatures should rebound to above normal levels for the first time in awhile.
