Heavy Lake Effect Snow Tonight/Monday AM

Very heavy lake effect snow is likely later tonight into the Monday morning hours, with a lake effect snow warning issued for our lakeside counties in IL. 6-12" of snow is possible, with 12"+ where the heaviest bands set up. Thundersnow, gusty winds to 30 MPH, and snowfall rates of 2-5"/hour will make travel difficult to at times nearly impossible across the immediate Chicago area and points southeast.
