Windy & Cold Monday, Thaw Incoming!

After a frigid weekend, we're starting the week off with continued cold temperatures for now, but you'll notice it's rather breezy this morning. While this wind may cause some issues with blowing and drifting snow in open areas across central IL today, it will also be transporting much milder air northward, and we expect above-freezing temperatures by tomorrow. This new pattern will feature above-normal temperatures, which sadly decreases the likelihood of a white Christmas around here. But, the pattern should remain rather active, with rain expected across the state on Thursday.
