In sharp contrast to what we opened December with, we're now in a pattern that supports above normal temperatures and little to no chances for snowfall as we head into Christmas. A system looks to develop across the Plains just before Christmas, and it'll attempt to drag 60 degree warmth along with it as it moves northeast. While the entire state should experience above normal temperatures on Christmas, just how mild it gets is in question further north where the warm front may take some time to clear. It's possible some areas experience their Christmas high close to midnight into the 26th depending on the timing of this system. Light rain and some fog/mist are likely along with it before a stronger push of more winterlike air later this weekend.
