Steady Rain & First Thunderstorms of 2026 Expected Later Today!

A rather potent storm system will track across the region today, bringing warm temperatures and steady rainfall by later this afternoon. By this evening, a line of scattered thunderstorms is possible, with perhaps even a few embedded severe wind gusts along the line. These storms will also be producing heavy downpours, as a VERY moist airmass for January will be present overhead.
