*Friday Midday Update*
A few showers/t’storms have been traversing portions of Northern Illinois during the morning and midday hours thus far today. Some of this activity will continue to linger through this afternoon.
Of more focus will be scattered t’storms that will develop this afternoon across portions of Southern Wisconsin, Northeastern Iowa and Northwestern Illinois, along/ ahead of advancing cold front and in the vicinity of an outflow boundary from earlier day activity. This activity will travel southeastward, affecting a chunk of Northern and Central Illinois from this afternoon into tonight. A severe weather threat will be possible with this activity, isolated to widely scattered in coverage. A few lingering t’storms may make it into Southern Illinois late tonight.
