•A level 1 to 2 severe t’storm threat is in place across all of Illinois from Thursday morning through Thursday night, for the threat of isolated to widely scattered severe t’storms. Damaging winds, hail and isolated tornadoes will all be threats.
✔️Summary…
•Thursday Morning – Thursday Night… As the next storm system passes through the region, two rounds of rain and t’storm activity will be likely across the state from Thursday morning and Thursday night. The first round of activity, which will move across the state from Thursday morning through Thursday afternoon, may pose some severe t’storm threat. In the wake of this activity, there will be some recovery immediately ahead of an advancing cold front and low pressure. Another round of showers and t’storms may develop during later Thursday afternoon and early Thursday evening across Eastern Iowa, Northwestern Illinois and Western Illinois. This activity will then traverse portions of Northern and Central Illinois into Thursday night, posing some severe t’strom threat.
