Timing…
•Wednesday Morning – Thursday Morning, April 29th-May 1st.
Location…
•Much of Illinois.
Impacts…
•A level 1 to 2 severe t’storm threat is in place across much of Illinois, for the possibility of isolated to widely scattered severe t’storms.
•Damaging winds, hail, and a couple of tornadoes will all be threats with activity.

•With this update, we have adjusted the northern edge of severe t’storms probabilities. This change was made based on recent weather guidance trends. Additionally, we have increased severe t’storm probabilities across portions of Southern Illinois. This change was made to account for the potential for slightly higher coverage severe t’storm potential across this area.
Discussion…
•As a loosely organized storm system lifts through the region from today into Thursday, periods of rain and t’storm activity can be expected across the state. Environmental conditions will be supportive of a severe t’storm threat with some of the activity across portions pf the state Illinois, from this morning through Thursday morning. Of focus will be a corridor across Southern Illinois, roughly along and on either side of the I-70 corridor. Within this axis, a environmental conditions will be more favorable for a bit higher coverage severe t’storm potential, with a warm front int he vicinity as well.
