(3:00PM – Monday, August 26th, 2024) As a few disturbances and a storm system move through the region, a few rounds of rain and t’storms will be likely across the state from early Tuesday through late Wednesday. Severe t’storms will be possible with some of this activity across specific outlooked areas during this timeframe.

Timing & Location…
•Early Tuesday Morning – Early Wednesday Morning, August 27-28th: Northern & Central Illinois.
•Early Wednesday Morning – Late Wednesday Night, August 28th: Central & Southern Illinois.

Impacts…
•A level 1 severe t’storm risk is in place across Northern and Central Illinois from early Tuesday morning through early Wednesday morning for the possibility of isolated severe t’storms. Damaging winds and large hail will be the threats from activity.

Discussion…
•With a few disturbances and a storm system moving through the region, a few rounds of rain and t’storms are expected to traverse the state from early Tuesday through late Wednesday.
•A complex of t’storms ay clip Northeastern Illinois early Tuesday morning. Otherwise, isolated to scattered showers and t’storms will be possible across Northern and Central Illinois from Tuesday afternoon through early Wednesday morning. Some of this activity may grow upscale into a complex during this timeframe. Environmental conditions will be supportive of a severe t’storm threat with some of this activity across the specific outlooked area during this timeframe.
