Severe t’storms will be likely with some of this activity across specific outlooked areas during this timeframe.

•A level 1 severe t’storm risk is in place across Northern Illinois from this afternoon through tonight for the likelihood of isolated severe t’storms. Damaging winds, large hail, and an isolated tornado will be the main threats from activity.

Discussion…
•With a frontal boundary wavering in the area and a storm system moving through the region, isolated to scattered showers and t’storms will develop this afternoon across portions of Minnesota, Northern Iowa, Southern Wisconsin, and Northern Illinois. This activity will track southeastward along the aformentioned corridor from this afternoon through tonight. Environmental conditions will be supportive of a severe t’storm threat with some of this activity across the specific outlooked area during this timeframe.
